I’m Anne Carlson Schirmer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health, psychotherapy, and clinical social work.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, serious illness, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions. My background includes work in medical and behavioral health settings, pediatric oncology, and clinical leadership. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how life experiences, relationships, and unexpected challenges can affect our emotional well-being.
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you explore what is difficult and discover new ways forward. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, combining thoughtful exploration with practical strategies tailored to your needs and goals.
I recognize that each person’s story is unique. My hope is that our work together helps you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, navigate challenges with greater confidence, and create meaningful changes in your life.
